Course Description:
As the number of patients seeking dental implants grows so do the clinical challenges to deliver predictable, safe and cost effective solutions to patients who are becoming more demanding.

The Southern Implants system offers those clinicians, with solid clinical skills, surgical and prosthetic options to improve predictability, safety and to decrease complexity in challenging anatomical situations.

This 2-day hands-on course includes lectures and a workshop to discuss the use of the angulated and wide body implants (Co-Axis and MAX]. The course will also offer bone grafting procedures to support these types of implant placements. Lectures will also include grafting associated with three types of implant placement protocols: Immediate, early and delayed placement.

These protocols will include:

  • Implant site development – a novel variation on alveolar site preservation [socket grafting].
  • Simultaneous grafting with early implant placement tricks, tips and materials.
  • Delayed placement protocol of healed sites with moderate to severe bone loss.

Dr. Soukoulis completed his undergraduate training at the University of Adelaide in 1996, followed by a two-year diploma in clinical dentistry after which he entered specialist training in periodontics, which he completed in 2001 . He maintains a specialist Periodontal practice in Adelaide. Dr. Soukoulis has served as President of the Australian Society of Periodontology. He is currently with the International Team of implantology (ITI]. Dr. Soukoulis has a particular clinical interest in implantology and bone grafting.
